The NDO will extend its cooperation to establish partnerships and cooperate with other female skill development initiatives. The NDO are currently working on the following initiatives:

Carpet Weaving

The NDO will coordinate in the auspices of Planning and Development with the carpet weaving experts who have been recently trained with backing from Government funded training from Iran.

On the basis of experience, the NDO will support them in the selection of trainees and will be facilitated in a Women's Resource Center in Jaffarabad where they can train the trainees. The NDO will also help in the management and marketing of the products.

Organic Food Processing

The NDO cooperates in the processes of locally made Jam, Jelly, and traditional food preparation using potato, cherries and apricot with new methods.

Two volunteers from New Zealand are already in the field with legal facilitation and organized Visa providing guidance.

Display/Outlet Point for Local Products

The traditional and local products made by the women at the NDO Head office need to be displayed at tourism and local hot spots where the local regional, national and international tourists and visitors will be able to be introduced to these products. In this way the gap between supply and demand may be reduced.

Outlet shops are proposed at Rakaposhi View Point at Ghulmet Nagar - the most accessible point for tourists in Nagar.

The locally made Patti, Patti products, hand-crafted carving, processed food products including jam, jelly, biscuits and cakes by local organisations and LSOs will be displayed and available for purchase in the shop.
